The Jeep Compass in Wichita KS is a front-wheel drive SUV/wagon with four doors and a choice of trims. Often regarded as a small SUV, it comes in several trim levels including the Latitude and Trailhawk. New for 2022 is the Latitude Lux trim.
The Basic Trims of the Jeep Compass
In 2022 the Compass is available in places such as Wichita KS in five trim levels. These are:
Sport
This base model is available in 4×2 or 4×4. Standard equipment includes:
• Infosystem: This is the Uconnect5 with its 8.4-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple Car Play and Android Auto, USB Type-A and Type-C charging ports and a six-speaker audio system
• Wheels/Tires: All-season tires wrap themselves around 16-inch alloy wheels
• Steering: The steering wheel has audio controls
Other standard features are the manually adjustable cloth seats, the heated and power mirrors and the roof rails. For safety, it offers active lane management with lane sensing and lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring and more.
Latitude
As is the case with all trims, the Latitude increases the features. The seats may be vinyl. The overhead lighting is ambient, and the wheels increase by another inch. Optional safety features are also available.
Latitude Lux
This new trim possesses Jeep Active Drive as well as 18-inch wheels with all-season tires, adaptive cruise control and a parking assist system. Standard with this level is leathery upholstery, including heated front seats and the steering wheel. In addition to a remote start, the Uconnect 5 has a 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen
Trailhawk
This level is intended for increased off-road activity. It is one full inch higher above ground and comes with Jeep’s Active Drive Low 4×4 drivetrain. In addition, it has a rock driving mode, hill descent control, tow hooks and steel skid plates.
Limited
The word for the Jeep Compass Limited is luxurious. It is built for comfort and not so much for off-road shenanigans. The 19-inch wheels sparkle and the seats are comfortable and heated. Of all the levels of Compass, this one is for those who do not want to spend as much time off-road instead, they cruise stylishly through town in a Jeep.
