Most children enjoy playing outside, and a trampoline is a good way for kids to enjoy being outdoors while having a fun way to bounce around. However, some trampolines have springs that can result in clothing getting caught, or creating a surface to not be as bouncy as the child might like. One alternative is a spring-free trampoline, which doesn’t have springs along the edges. Instead, there are springs underneath the surface (if any are included at all). Here are a few benefits of this design to consider.

Rods
Most trampolines that are designed in this manner don’t have springs at all. Instead, there are long rods underneath the mat that provide comfort and that allow you to easily rebound when jumping, similar to the same mechanism that is used with trampolines that do have springs. The rods are nowhere near the area where anyone is jumping, providing a safe and fun experience.

Mats
The mats that are located around the springfree trampoline offer protection from the rods that are below the surface. They also provide a flat surface for jumping instead of one that is divided as a traditional trampoline features empty spaces where the springs connect to the mat. The mats are easy to clean and soft to the touch for those who do enjoy jumping along the edge of some trampolines.

Safety
Nets can be placed around the trampoline to keep jumpers from falling off the mat. The rods that are located underneath the mat are covered to protect jumpers who might decide to investigate them. With secure rods under the mat that softly rebound, jumpers can feel more of a cushion while they are on the trampoline instead of feeling as though there is nothing underneath them.
